‘Bangkok Ocean in Motion Film Festival 2018‘ that will screen stories about the ocean. The curated films will portray the consequences of the global warming in the world under the ocean, plastic pollution and water that has a harmful effect on the marine life as well as human beings. Enjoy the diversity of the stories being made into feature films, animations, documentaries and short films (with Thai subtitles). The list of short films includes ‘Fragile’ that talks about the adventure of a small turtle, ‘One Shot’ that’s inspired by surfer and award-winning ocean and lifestyle photographer Russel Ord, ‘Penguin Protectors’ that will take you to learn about the penguin populations decline due to warming. The unprecedented pictures of ocean ecosystem, diverse culture relating to the sea, and the advanced technology that will tackle waste crisis featured at the festival is hopefully to be an inspiration for you to find solutions to save the ocean.
‘Bangkok Ocean in Motion Film Festival 2018‘ is organised by Ocean Recovery Alliance – an NGO based in Hong Kong and California with the aim to use new technologies, innovations, creativity and collaborations to build an awareness on saving and develop the ocean sustainably (oceanrecov.org). Apart from learning the touched stories at the festival, the audience will get a chance to discuss with Douglas Woodring, a co-founder and managing director of Ocean Recovery Alliance. Hip music by world-renowned DJ Celeste Siam, two-time winner of the Top Asia Corporation’s Asia Top Female DJ Awards 2014 and 2017, will also be featured.
